The 12M33 is built around a balanced 60° V12 block with two cylinder banks for smooth, high power density. Twin turbochargers — one per bank — with polished stainless-steel exhaust risers force more, cooler intake air into the engine (aftercooled) for stronger combustion and greater efficiency, while a mechanical injection pump ensures dependable fuel delivery. A large front flywheel and belt-drive system deliver smooth, stable operation for demanding, continuous marine duty.
