## Overview

A ferry operator running an inter-island route needed more speed and reliability on a 45 m vessel. MARS supplied two high-speed marine diesels with matched transmissions as a complete propulsion package.

## Challenge

The route demanded a higher service speed while keeping fuel burn under control. The engine room had limited height, so overall engine dimensions and exhaust routing were critical, and the schedule had to fit a short annual survey period.
