## Overview

A yacht owner refitting a 22 m motor yacht wanted quieter, more reliable propulsion with modern instrumentation, keeping the existing shaft lines and propellers.

## Challenge

The new engines had to fit the existing beds and align with the shaft lines, while the gearboxes needed a ratio close to the originals to keep the propellers. Cosmetic finish and low vibration mattered more than in commercial work.

## Scope of supply

Dimensional check against refit-yard drawings, engine-gearbox matching, factory test with report, protective crating, air-ride truck to the yard via Jebel Ali, and commissioning support during sea trials.

## Outcome

The yacht completed sea trials with lower noise levels and stable temperatures at cruise. The refit yard has since sourced a further propulsion package through MARS for another client.
